Pit Pug

I like to perform public service works such as warming Gillian's armpit while she marks. I also help with the marking, of course.
That should give you paws for thought.

This Pug's Bath

This doesn't look promising...

I knew it...bath time!
Let me out! I'll have nothing more to do with your tidy ways! A pug's stink is its pride!

All that hard work getting roasty toasty stinky...gone. A pug's life, indeed.

PugBear

You have to always be bear aware. Even in your own living room.

Who does that bear think he is, anyhow?

Submit, invader species!
Pug, triumphant.

Midterm Pug

So my people moved me down from Kelowna and then next door to another suite, and in the midst of all that Gillian went back to work and Robert got back to his dissertation.I'm surrounded by books and two people who only have eyes for their papers and computers. So lame!
Don't get me wrong--they take me for walks and give me lots of cuddles and play with me. I've got lots of toys to keep me busy. And I've discovered the joy of sleeping in front of the heater.
But life in Kelowna was so much more interesting.
YAWN!

Roasty Toasty Pug

You can't smell the delightful roasty toasty pug smell through the computer, but you can witness the cuteness.

Action Pug Adventures

Alleyne Lake.

Pug fashion.
Puginson Crusoe.
We walked the 4km loop around Kentucky Lake. Along the way, Robert thought I needed a break, but I suspect he was getting a cold and needed a pugwarmer.
After all the madness of moving was done, Robert and Gill and I went for an evening paddle in Ladner. Stroke!

Gill Finally Found the USB for the Camera So Now It's Time To Catch up on Kelowna Adventures

Some of the highlights from July in Kelowna:
My nut, which some bird left for me under the spruce tree. I loved this nut, but Robert threw it out one day. Sigh.

As you may know, it is a particular quirk of the pug to be heat intolerant. When the temperature rises above 30, I go crazy. To calm me down, Robert and Gill made me a super action hero cape out of a damp napkin: the latest in pug couture.
Nicole and Jeremy came to Kelowna for a wedding and we had a good visit. I love meeting new people, but I was peeved they didn't take me on this wine tasting trip.
The grandpugrents came for a visit shortly after Nic and Jer left. They brought me a new tug toy!

The month was punctuated by many naps.

Your Tour Guide: Miss Puggy

Romy came up on her motorbike to visit us, so we did some sightseeing: here we are at Raven Ridge Cidery. The lady doing the tasting insisted I try some cider. Too strong!
Then we went to Okanagan Lavender Farm, where I took Romy on a stroll.
I don't know what all the fuss is about the lavender. The pinecones are far preferable.
Then we spent the afternoon reading on the beach. Before Romy left, I did my first order of business on her laundry bag so she would have something to remember me by.
Thanks for the visit, Romy!

Bram Stoker's Lucy the Vampire

Sometimes I like to imagine that my needle sharp milk teeth are vampire fangs.
I lull people into submission with my puppy ways...
And when they least expect it...Slurp!
Vampugger!

The Poky Little Pug

Recently I've been reminding Gillian of The Poky Little Puppy, one her favorite childhood books. Apparently this is the best-selling children's hardcover of all time.
The poky little puppy liked to go off exploring on his own, which is something I've been doing a lot of recently. Running away from Robert and Gill is a new game I've developed. I've also been working on a number known as the steeplechase through the garden: up the lettuce path and down the row of peas. Another specialty of mine is trying to climb through the fence to visit the neighbours. But could you put a face like this to bed without strawberry shortcake for dessert? I don't think so.A big bowl of backyard cherries it is, then.
