Denatured Pug

Post-spaying Pugvalescence: The Tale of One Sad Pug

These pictures are a few months old, from the day Robert took me to the SPCA in Vancouver for the removal of my puglet-producing bits. I also received a tattoo in my ear, so don't mess. I've been inked. The Tale of One Sad Pug, continued

Robert was none too amused when the well-meaning but batty staff at the SPCA said "Your daddy's here!" as he came to pick me up. But he was very happy to see me, and I couldn't wait to get out of there.

I was groggy and out of sorts that evening, so my people made all sorts of sympathetic noises and tucked me into my pugbed. But my guts hurt, my ear hurt, and my mouth hurt (the chief dog-torturer/vet also pulled a puppy tooth that wasn't coming out).

Why am I revisiting this tale of pug-woe now? Because they took me to the vet today to be poked with more needles (booster shots, they tell me) and have liquid dumped down my nose (to prevent kennel cough). Why are things that are supposed to be good for you so unpleasant?
